Ok, so I never watched season one of The Apprentice, mostly because I hate Donald Trump. All my old co-workes loved it, and I knew it was probably good, since it is from Mark Burnett, and I love Survivor.

The new season started last week, and I didn't watch it.

Anyhow, tonight, the wife and I watched Survivor (very good, btw), then afterwards, she wanted to watch the rest of Will and Grace. Well, that ended at like 9:20... and then nothing else was on.

She shares my dislike for "The Donald," as he calls himself... and neither of us wanted to actually watch the Apprentice... but the teaser before kinda interested us. So we watched it.

GODAMMIT. It was GOOD! We both liked it... a lot... even Trump wasn't too bad... and thankfully, he's not in it a whole lot except in the beginning and end for a few minutes.

Last week's was better... when they were at Mattel. I was practically creaming.

Donald is usually only on in small bursts, so have no fear. Ofcourse, it's obvious this season that last season's resulting exposure gave him a bigger head.

I watched the last Apprentice, but this season my wife is insisting that we tape The OC while Survivor is on and watch it right after, so no Apprentice this season.

My brother-in-law tried out for this season and made it to the Final 50. Too bad he didn't get on the show, I'd MUCH rather watch Apprentice then friggin OC....

But married guys know, you pick you're battles.

I couldn't stand Trump either until I saw the show. He's actually pretty fair with the contestants and I gained a lot of respect for his management style.

However, I think firing that guy was just wrong. I don't agree that what he did (it was kind of a noble gesture) was so stupid that it warranted firing him. Besides, that guy was such a jerk he was too entertaining to be eliminated. [img]wink.gif[/img]

No, he did pull that shit here.
He told the guy he was the best guy in the room.
Under normal circumstances, you'd keep the best guy in the room. You have three shit heads to let go (the one on the end wasn't that bad)

So he obviously kicked off Bradford for ratings. He knows that he's not going to hire Ivana or Stacey

The funny thing is that they bitched at each other (each assuming they'd never see the other again, and now they have to go back to the suite.... sweet!)

That's true, but there was grumblings about that last season. Since Trump was executive producer AND ultimate decider of who was remaining on the show, the whole premise of fairness of the competition was thrown out the window.

I'll bet that the grumblings is EXACTLY why he kicked out the new jerk, to say to the critics, "See, it is fair. Even though he'd bring in ratings I kicked him off"

Agreed. It was a stupid decision, a cocky remark by the Bradford... and Trump called his bluff. Business can be war.
